Tradition and Unity: Highlights of ISNHS 121st High School Day


     The Ilocos Sur National High School celebrated it's 121st high school day. the pandemic halted celebrations in 201, after years of waiting, we finally been given the opportunity to commemorate the founding of our beloved school. the occasion was not big as the preceding one, but after years of in activity, the march 25th celebration as memorable and well, worth the wait.

   The day began with the holy Eucharistic mass-thanks giving mass in which the school's organizations and clubs participated solemnly, this was followed by a program that recognized out standing teachers. employees, and return of retires for their heart felt service. Ms. lovely Lazo, a alumnus of the school who is now a attorney, was invited to speak. she left a heartwarming message about pursuing dreams and following your passion, and she also added "the only limit is the limit you set for your self" these words of encouragement are truly captivating and have left a special place in the hearts of not only the students but also everyone who is listened to her speech, Mrs. Refuerso's words of gratitude concluded the morning program.

   In the afternoon, the selected ISNHS students demonstrated calisthenics in the fields, festival dances, and hip-hop theme dances, the activity outlined the student's abilities and potential, the festival dancers grace and elegance, as well as their grooves and swag, were no shown as they took the dance floor. it was then followed by laro ng lahi which highlighted traditional Filipino games performed by our teachers from each department. it was entertaining to watch the activity and how they awakened or brought up how fun Filipino games are.

   After three years, hearing about a high school day t is really refreshing, although it wasn't as good as before, it's a good starting point, that day was filled with joy and excitement, but we can't deny the exhaustion we felt during the planning and on the actual high school day. however, for most students, the day was colorful and went home with a smile on their faces.
